The Joshua Tree Gateway Communities

The communities of the hi-desert (also frequently referred to as the Morongo Basin, stretch out over a vast area across the Mojave Desert, generally north of Joshua Tree National Park, thus the name, "Joshua Tree Gateway Communities."

 

As a guest of Smoketree Cottage, you'll be staying in the City of Twentynine Palms, at the eastern entrance to Joshua Tree National Park.  From west, as you drive up to the hi-desert along California's Route 62, the 29 Palms Highway, the Joshua Tree Gateway Communities you'll encounter are:
